Music fans clueless about song covers.

It’s pretty much the norm that every generation will have their own taste in music, and a new poll shows just how clueless we can be about the music that came before us.

When asked about “I Will Always Love You,” 74% of people identified Whitney Houston as the singer most associated with the song, while only 19% knew that Dolly Parton was the person who originally wrote and recorded the classic.

Most Adele fans know that she recorded the song “Make You Feel My Love,” but it seems younger generations have no idea that she wasn’t the one responsible for writing it. The survey found that 19% of the younger audience answered Adele when asked who was responsible for the tune, while only 36% of the older listeners correctly said Bob Dylan was the original artist behind the song. And that’s not all, 35% of all respondents thought Garth Brooks was the person who originally recorded the track.
