Employers are preparing to get very little accomplished at work on Monday.
Monday's eclipse will have an effect on the bottom line of businesses. According to an analysis of data by executive coaching firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas, the eclipse will cost companies around 694-million-dollars in lost productivity. The firm estimates workers will need around 20-minutes to gather their viewing equipment and go out to watch the solar event. And then of course you have to get back in "work mode" after you come back in.
A friendly reminder! DON'T stare at the sun without approved eclipse glasses. That's the number one tip from doctors about staying safe during the eclipse. Other tips include don't try and watch the eclipse while driving, and be careful if you're in a place where the sky will go completely dark. As for the glasses, if they have the code Iso 12312-2, then they're good to go.
