Here's some proof that at least some people in the U.S. caught soccer fever with the World Cup going on. Along getting record settings ratings, fans have gone crazy over goalie Tim Howard, and for good reason.

He's incredible, and he proved it in the game that sent us home, where he made a record setting 16 saves! And  now thousands of people think we should do something to honor him.  Like rename the Washington National Airport in his honor.

"Whereas Tim Howard has shown himself to be a national treasure, Minister of Defense, Friend of Joe Biden, and the holder for the record of most saves in a World Cup match," the official We the People White House petition reads. "Therefore, we politely request that we rename the airport to recognize his accomplishments, and meritorious service to the United States of America."

This petition was just set up Tuesday, and it already has over 700,000 signatures! They have until July 31st to get the 92k more signatures that would require the Obama administration to issue a public response.
