Authorities in Washington state who are investigating a cell phone video that shows a toddler putting his mouth on a marijuana bong have now arrested the boy's mother and her fiance.
Police confronting the 22-month-old boy's mother, Rachelle Braaten, said she told detectives, "Well, it was like, you can't see in the camera, but the person taking it, and then there was like a group of people there. And I guess it was a joke and a stupid mistake that wasn't really funny."
See the "mistake" for yourself, and NO, it isn't funny at all:
Braaten was arrested on charges of manufacture of marijuana and delivery of a controlled substance to a minor.
Braaten said she feels "horrible... because he's two, and he shouldn't have known about that. He shouldn't have that in his body."
The police found 40 marijuana plants at Braaten's home and her fiance Tyler Lee said he smoked it for medicinal reasons. He was also arrested after he allegedly confessed about selling weed to a dispensary. The boy and his 5-year-old sibling have been placed in protective care.
