Canadian police have a reminder: losing all your money at the casino isn't a valid reason to call 911.
That's what one 21-year-old woman did Saturday morning after she found herself broke and without a way to get home from an Ontario casino. Despite the non-emergency nature of her call, the police did tell her to stay where she was until they could figure out how to help. It turns out their help wasn't needed.
The woman soon called back and told the dispatcher that a helpful stranger had given her $20 and she was on her way.
