When Chris Woods went to a Publix supermarket in Clearwater, Florida, he dropped a fat stack of cash, according to police in Pinellas County. He was taking his phone out of his pocket when he dropped $1,300 and of course, he thought it was lost forever.
But then the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office shared the surveillance images of Chris with the public, asking people for help identifying him. Chris says his neighbor came over and told him he saw him on the news and that they found his money.
The good samaritan who found and returned the cash wasn’t revealed, but Mr. Woods says he’s very blessed that someone so generous found it, adding, “There’s good people in this world.”
