Two powerful women just got honored by having Barbie dolls inspired by them hit store shelves.
Civil rights icon Rosa Parks and astronaut Sally Ride are now Barbies and now able to teach girls who these amazing ladies are. Forget the typical Barbie attire and accessories, these legends will include educational materials about their stories and will be dressed appropriately.
A Mattel spokesman shares “Both Sally Ride and Rosa Parks made the world better for future generations of girls. By celebrating their achievements with dolls made in their likeness, we hope girls will be inspired to pursue their dreams.”
