Joe Gibbs Apologizes For Celebration After Daytona Win/Crash

Joe Gibbs is apologizing for his winning team's celebration after Denny Hamlin won yesterday's Daytona 500 for the second year in a row.

The team owner said the team quickly stopped their Victory Lane celebration as soon as they learned how bad Ryan Newman's last lap crash was. A subdued Gibbs apologized and said his team stopped celebrating when they realized emergency crews were attending to Newman.

As we told you, the 42-year-old Roush Racing driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition but doctors say his injuries are not life-threatening.
