PBS is set to celebrate country music’s most influential women with a brand new special next week. “Iconic Women of Country Music” will air June 1st, and highlight such artists as Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Barbara Mandrell and more.
The special will feature original interviews, as well as archival footage and classic songs. It will look at how these women helped fight gender bias within country music.
It will also feature appearances by such stars as Connie Smith, Terri Clark, Pam Tillis,Trisha Yearwood and others.
