Sports practices and games keep getting paused at a New York school district due to bear sightings. A bear was spotted near the soccer field at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School in Orange County Wednesday, which led school officials to either cancel or postpone outdoor activities or move them inside. There was then another bear sighting on Thursday, which also prompted gym class and recess to be moved indoors for middle and high schoolers. A DEC officer was expected to check out the situation.
