According to the Mega Millions website, the game's jackpot is now up to an estimated $640 million after no tickets matched all six numbers last night. The cash option for the next jackpot is $328.3 million.
If someone buys a winning ticket for Friday's drawing it will be the sixth-largest Mega Millions prize in the game's history. What’s the largest lottery prize so far? That was a $1.586 billion prize back in 2016. It was shared by three winners across three states. (The biggest single winning pot went for $1.537 billion in 2018. The ticket was sold in South Carolina.)
As for recent jackpots, the last one was won on October 14th with two tickets purchased in California and Florida.
