A group of students at James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia, recently surprised their custodian, Francis Apraku, with his dream car, a Jeep Wrangler, for his birthday. Originally from Ghana, Francis has become a beloved figure at the school due to his kindness and positivity, frequently offering prayers and support to the students.
Moved by his generosity and kind spirit, the students started a crowdfund campaign and raised over $20-thousand to buy the car. Francis was in disbelief and overwhelmed with emotion when the students presented him with the gift, and he expressed his deep gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
The students say that he’s more than just a custodian to them, describing Francis as a friend whose kindness has touched their lives. Speaking on behalf of her classmates, student Bennett Hibshman said that they wanted to give back to someone who had shown them so much love.
