In today’s edition of “products no one asked for,” we shine the spotlight on Pizza Hut’s new Tomato Wine. The wine has been designed to “capture the essence of your favorite slice in every sip.” Made from “ripe, juicy tomatoes and infused with basil,” the tomato wine is made in cooperation with Irvine’s Just Beyond Paradise Winery, out of Kansas. Reportedly it “offers an aromatic blend of fresh herbs and spices, with rich, sun-ripened tomato notes and a subtle hint of toasted oak…reminiscent of perfectly baked pizza crust.” According to Pizza Hut, its taste is similar to white wine...and it’s best when chilled.
