500-year-old works by master printmaker Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528) are now on view in the MSV Founders Gallery in the just-opened exhibition Albrecht Dürer and Master Prints. Organized by the Reading Public Museum, Reading, PA, this traveling exhibition presents more than 50 detailed engravings and woodblock prints by Albrecht Dürer, the greatest German Renaissance artist. Only at the MSV, the exhibition also includes 20 rarely seen master prints from the MSV Julian Wood Glass Jr. Collection, many on first-time public display. Interactive gallery talks of Albrecht Dürer and Master Prints are being offered from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, November 9, and Sunday, November 11 (space is limited; pre-registration strongly encouraged). On view through February 17, 2019, the MSV display of Albrecht Dürer and Master Prints is made possible by the extraordinary support of the MSV Compass Society.
