If you can’t get enough avocado in your life, you may want to book it down to the Casa Velas resort in Mexico. The adults-only destination in Puerto Vallarta has declared the month of March to be Guacamania and they’re celebrating all things guacamole-related.
Here you can get beauty treatments at the spa, like avocado facials, avocado scrubs, hair treatments and avocado body wraps. They even let you bathe in avocado at this place, if you’re into that sort of thing.
And of course, there’s plenty of avocado for eating, too. The restaurant at Casa Velas offers everything from chocolate mousse made with the green fruit to avocado ceviche, avocado tiramisu and burritos stuffed with what else? Avocado, of course. They even have “guacamologists” on hand poolside to prepare fresh guac for you as you soak up the sun and lounge in the water.
Unfortunately, March is almost over, and so are the guacamole festivities. But Casa Velas is doing the whole thing again in September, when it’ll coordinate with Mexico’s Independence Day festivities.
