Baby Wipes Linked To Food Allergies

A new study found that the USE of baby wipes may promote childhood food allergies by disrupting the skin's natural protective barrier.

The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology found that a mix of environmental and genetic factors must coexist to trigger the food allergy. So basically, the infant must already carry certain genetic mutations that affect the skin.

How interesting that all the stuff that comes later starts that early...and with baby wipes! I mean, I like 'em...but perhaps I won't share with any newborns any time soon.
