BYU-Idaho’s student newspaper The Scroll has reported that the university in Rexburg will ban the man bun, effective immediately.
“It’s just something that deviates from the norm,” Barton, a student honor administrator, told The Scroll.
Students who don the man bun, along with other hairstyles BYU administrators deem extreme, will receive “disciplinary action.”
