Pre-Cut Melon Recalled Due to Salmonella Outbreak in Multiple States

First the lettuce and now the melon....

Centers for Disease Control just announced a salmonella outbreak in pre-cut melon from Catio Foods. Sixty people have reported being infected with the outbreak strain and 31 people have been hospitalized.

They were sold in clear, plastic clamshell containers at Costco, Jay C, Kroger, Payless, Owen’s, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, Walgreens, Walmart, and Whole Foods/Amazon in the following states: Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio.
