Gender Reveal Party Ended With A Crazy Wild Fire

Recently, Gender Reveals have become very popular.

Couples go all out to announce the gender of their baby.

People throw parties, have special food & decorations all for the special announcement.

This Gender Reveal got a little out of hand leading a massive fire to break out at the gender reveal party this man and his wife organized at their home.

They intended to shoot a target which would explode in either pink or blue powder to reveal the gender of their unborn child.

The target contained Tannerite, which is an explosive substance that is designed to detonate when met with a high-velocity firearm.

Instead of the reveal, the explosion resulted in an enormous fire which grew 47,000 acres.

800 firefighters fought the flames for about a week.

It cost authorities $8.2 million to combat.

The fire spread across the Santa Rita Mountains, closing the Arizona 83 highway.

Luckily no one was injured and no buildings were destroyed.

It was a complete accident, Dickey the man who's gender reveal it was now is sentenced to five years probation and has agreed to pay $220,000 in damages.

He will pay $100,000 in restitution and pay off the remaining in monthly installments for the next 20 years.
