BURLINGTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Highways advises motorists that nighttime lane closures will begin on Interstate 81 Sunday night, October 28.
Lane closures will begin south of Exit 8 (Tabler Station Road) and end near Exit 12 (Apple Harvest Drive) and will be in place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights.
Work will begin in the northbound lanes at the start of the week and move to the southbound lanes as the schedule permits. Lane closures are necessary to shift traffic for the start the I-81 widening project and could last for several weeks.
Motorists should expect delays and allow extra time when traveling through the work area.
