Top 5 Busiest Airports For Thanksgiving Holiday

Airports are tough enough to navigate. Add 50 million people to the equation all trying to get home to see their families for the holiday season and you are looking at one cranky trip.

According to research from Hopper and InsureTrip, found the five airports that will be most congested during the Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully you can avoid passing through any of these to keep the trip a little less stressful.

5.  Denver International Airport. This is physically the biggest airport in the US, and is expecting about 790,000 passengers.

4. Dallas/Ft. Worth. This is the American Airlines hub, and is going to see 828,000 passengers flying through.

3. Chicago O'Hare. 1 million people. A MILLION!

2. Los Angeles International Airport. LAX. 7am local time on Thanksgiving day will see just under 1.1 million people. Proceed with patience.

1. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Morning time will be packed in Atlanta with almost 1.3 million passengers expected to fly through.
