The Girl Scouts have now filed a lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America for getting rid of "boy" from the scouts group name.
Girl Scouts believe that this move is uniquely damaging to them.
Now, the lawsuit seeks damages and an injunction against the trademark.
Papers in the Manhattan Federal Court stated "Only GSUSA have the right to use the Girl Scouts and Scouts trademarks with leadership development services for girls."
The name change has already caused confusion.
Responding, the Boy Scouts released a statement saying they were reviewing the suit and believe that there is an opportunity for both organizations to serve girls and boys in their communities.
Now, Girl Scouts are protesting the decision.
What do you think about the name change?
