Whether you're a deer hunter or just a normal person driving late at night in a rural area you may want to avoid coming in contact with any deer because of a new disease the CDC is calling "Zombie Deer" disease. The disease's real name is Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and has occurred in 24 different states in members of the North American cervids/deer family. They take on a “zombie-like” appearance and exhibit odd behavior and physical deteriorating. However, the main reason why people are concerned is because the CDC isn't sure yet if it may be possible that the disease could spread to humans who eat infected animals. Just maybe avoid any deer for the next couple months to be on the safe side!!
