World's Biggest T-Rex Found in Canada

Scientists believe that the bones of a Tyrannosaurus rex they found in Canada is the biggest ever discovered.

They’re calling the animal “Scotty” and estimate that it weighed 19,500 pounds, much bigger than elephants today.

The scientists have been putting Scotty together and have a skeleton that's about 65 percent complete, including the skull and hips along with some of his ribs, leg bones and tailbones.

Scotty was believed to be 28 years old when it died -- and finding him seems to be teaching the scientists that the T-rex lived to be older and bigger than was once believed. (National Geographic)
