The ocean belongs to sharks and we should probably remember that.
With all of the shark attacks and sightings on the news, it’s a wonder people still get in the water, but they are. Swimmers at Daytona Beach were blissfully unaware of a shark just feet from them in the shallows Monday.
WESH’s news helicopter happened to be over the beach and filmed a shark coming so close to a group of swimmers. Luckily, the predator didn’t do anything but swim away. Some of the beachgoers were shocked when told how close they came to a shark, after they were out of the water.
Panic while in the ocean is never a good idea. FYI, this may not be a good year to watch “Jaws.”
