It's the classic story of boy meets girl, boy robs bank, boy forces girl to be the getaway driver.
Christopher Castillo of Rhode Island was sentenced to five years behind bars this week for his 2016 robbery of a bank in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Before the robbery, Christopher had arranged a meeting with a woman on an online dating app, who picked him up in her car.
She didn't think too much of it when he asked her to swing by the bank, that is, until he came running out with a gun and a thousand dollars, telling her to step on it. The woman, who wasn't charged, said she panicked and took off. When police gave chase, she pulled over and Christopher was apprehended after a struggle.
