NASCAR fans may not be able to hit the track to see their favorite drivers race but that doesn't mean they won't be watching a race this weekend.
NASCAR had announced that they are suspending their season until at least May 3rd but they have also announced that they've teamed up with iRacing to hold a series of simulated races that will include several NASCAR Cup drivers.
They had already run a virtual race and live-streamed it on their Twitter page and it was well-received. Now, iRacing will run a dedicated eNASCAR series competed by full-time eSports drivers and teams, which will continue alongside the Invitational series. The next race kicks off on Sunday at 1:30 pm with a virtual race on Homestead-Miami Speedway, which was the scheduled venue for this weekend’s postponed NASCAR Cup race.
