Here's The Plan For Reopening Virginia Schools

Governor Northam announced guidance for K-12 schools reopening today.

All Virginia schools will open for students next year. The school experience will look much different though. Physical distancing measures will be in place, there will be staggering schedules with in person and remote learning. There will also be remote learning options for high risk students and staff.

Schools are required to have 6 feet distance between desks and work spaces. There will be restrictions on mixed groups of students and classes. Also, restrictions on communal spaces, like cafeterias. There will also be daily health screenings of students and staff. Students are encouraged to wear masks, especially older students.

More detailed guidance will be available in the coming days here.
