Investigation Discovery is highlighting Nicole Brown Simpson’s diaries in a new documentary.
“O.J. & Nicole: An American Tragedy” will coincide with the 25th anniversary of O. J. Simpson’s acquittal in the deaths of Nicole and Ron Goldman. Nicole’s sister Tanya will read from her sister’s notes. They include explicit accounts of domestic violence by O.J.
The entries include over 60 incidents of beatings, but according to former CNN reporter Marc Watts, who appears in the film, they weren’t admissible in the trial.
ID chief Henry Schleiff explains why they went forward with the documentary. “This documentary is not here to retell the famous trial, but to remember the woman who struggled with domestic violence and now tells her side of the story, in her words, for the first time.” It premieres October 5.
