Maren Morris and JP Saxe have a new collaboration coming out this week!
On Monday (January 11) the country star turned to Instagram to announce the exciting news with fans. "LINE BY LINE with @jpsaxe out wednesday. 🥀," she wrote alongside a photo of the cover art, which features the two singers posing for the camera surrounded by a variety of flowers and plants.
Saxe, who shared the same photo on his Instagram page wrote, "new song out this wednesday, noon est, with the exceptionally incredible @marenmorris."
Comments from excited fans immediately poured in. "Well thank u for making my week 😭," one fan wrote, while another added, "I legitimately just started crying a little bit. This is something I’ve been waiting for for SO LONG!" Another user declared that this is "the collab 2021 needs."
Last year, Morris teased a possible collaboration of some sort on Twitter. "Wrote with @jpsaxe all week and I’ve gotta say is DA*N. He’s realllll good," the tweet read.
"Line By Line" is due out on Wednesday, January 13, and is available to preorder now!
"Line By Line" will be Morris' first new music since the release of her powerful song, "Better Than We Found It" in October. The country star also debuted a new unreleased song tentatively titled, "If I Just Get Out Of My Way" during a live stream concert broadcast last month.
Both tracks will likely be included on Morris' upcoming third studio album, although details have yet to be unveiled. The country star confirmed her new album is in the works in an Instagram post in late December after announcing the cancelation of her RSVP Tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"With the prospect of, yet again, rescheduling half of the dates already becoming a reality, I have decided to cancel the RSVP tour," she wrote in her statement at the time.
"I truly appreciate your patience on this," she added. "I am in the midst of working on my third record, so I hope we can all come together and enjoy live shows safely again soon. Love you so much."
