Picture this: you go through a McDonald’s drive-thru and want to eat your meal in the car, but the parking lot is full, so you pull down the road and spend 16 minutes sitting in your car in a Starbucks parking lot and eating your meal. A few days later, you get a notice in the mail that you’re being fined $124 for parking in the lot while being a “non-patron.”  Bob Spink doesn’t have to picture it, because the 60-year-old is living it. The letter he got said his fine would be reduced to $74 if he paid within 14 days. Bob says the Starbucks lot had “plenty of space,” and says “It just feels like legalized theft.”
