Do you use Jif peanut butter? There’s been a recall of some Jif over fears of salmonella. Some of those salmonella cases have happened from Jif sold here in Virginia. Side effects from salmonella poisoning include fever, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. Peanut butter can have up to a two year shelf-life so you’re being urged to check your jars. When you go to your pantry to check them, jars with lot codes 1274425 through 2140425 have been recalled and should be disposed, the company said.
