June is pride month, and while there are members of the LGBTQ community all over the country, some areas of the U.S. are certainly more welcoming, safe and supportive of LGBTQ people than others. And now a new report reveals where those places are.

  • Lawnstarter has just come out with their list of the most LGBTQ-friendly cities.
  • They looked at close to 200 if the largest U.S. cities, judging them on 19 factors, including share of same-sex households, presence of LGBTQ support groups and more.
  • They also looked at things like affordability, safety, access to LGBTQ-friendly health care, and Pride-readiness.
  • Not surprising, topping the list is San Francisco, California, with an overall score of 71.69.
  • San Fran is tops for equality, and lands at two for healthcare access, three for Pride-readiness, and four for community support, although it isn’t cheap, landing at 177 for affordability.
