The Mission is a popular restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona and its been getting a lot of attention. They want visitors to their restaurant to literally lick a wall made of pink Himalayan salt.
This might be the last things you’d expect to see people doing at a restaurant, at least one that serves delicious food - licking the walls, and yet that’s exactly what you'd see at The Mission restaurant. And they've been doing it for the past 17 years.
The Mission has long been known for its delicious dishes and the pink salt wall built around its kitchen. According to WLBT3, the head chef was the one who brought the salt rocks in to add to the overall ambiance of the place and to give patrons a new way of enjoying their tequila shots. Suck on a lime, lick the wall and down the shot. At least that was the original idea, but people started licking it whether they were drinking tequila or not.
Well, if you’ve always wanted to give a block of Himalayan salt a lick and you’re in the Scottsdale area, you know where to go.
