Rover Finds NASA Garbage On Mars

(Pasadena, CA) -- NASA's Perseverance rover has discovered space garbage on Mars. The Mars rover beamed back a surprising image this week, of a shiny silver object wedged between two rocks on the Martian landscape. NASA researchers concluded that the shiny object is a piece of debris discarded by the spacecraft when it landed on Mars in February of last year. The Perseverance Twitter account claims it's a piece of a thermal blanket that came off during the descent stage, which happened two kilometers from where the debris was found. NASA is not sure how it wound up in that location.
