An unnamed person is posting fliers trying to give away a “cursed fridge,” claiming that the appliance is possessed by the soul of their stepmother. The flier says that the dead woman talks to them, and “has been subtly undermining me ever since.” There are a couple of problems with the story, though.
Later in the text, it refers to the writer’s wife “finding comfort in her mother’s still being around,” which would mean it was the person’s mother-in-law, the real catch is the phone number…which belongs to a kitchen showroom, where employees have reported receiving “maybe 100 calls” asking about the cursed fridge.
