Netflix will debut its ad-based subscription tier sooner than expected. The streaming giant announced the release has been pushed up to November to get ahead of Disney Plus's December 8th launch of their own ad-supported subscription plan. Netflix announced it's ad-based plan in July and initially planned to launch it in the first quarter of 2023. Now due to the rise in competition, the service will go live November 1st in the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K. Netflix still hasn't announced how much their ad-based tier would cost, but sources say they plan to roll about four minutes of ads for every hour of view time.
