Saturday when the Tennessee Volunteers took down Alabama, it goes without saying that it was a big deal. The students stormed the field en mass to celebrate, steal the goalpost, carry it down the street, and throw it into the river. Now, Tennessee is being hit with a $100K fine for “violating the league’s access to competition area policy.” What’s more, the school reached out to fans with a fundraiser to help pay for new goalposts. In no time at all, the goal was reached and over $150K was raised. As the fans took over the field, UT President Randy Boyd was asked, “How much is this gonna cost?” Cigar in hand, Boyd said, “It doesn’t matter. We’ll do this every year.”
