The holiday season is officially upon us and that means planning travel. In order to help navigate your planning “GMA” asked experts for their best tips. Here’s what they say:
- The best time to have booked holiday flights was in June. (Now we know for next year!)
- The second best time time to book is right now
- Morning flights get there on time 25-percent more than any other time period
- Thanksgiving week is the best time for international travel
- Try not to check a bag
- Enroll in TSA precheck
- If your flight is cancelled call the international number for your airline instead of the US number, which will be slammed due to the cancellation
- Finalize hotel stays for Thanksgiving in the first week of November and for Christmas, the first week of December
