There are some Thanksgiving movies that are a must watch. “Mandatory” threw together a list of the most overlooked ones.
- “Planes, Trains, And Automobiles.” This is a classic starring John Candy and Steve Martin.
- Tower Heist. It’s about a gang of criminals attempting a robbery during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It stars Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Matthew Broderick, Casey Affleck, Alan Alda, and Tea Leoni.
- “Son In Law.” Always a good time! Stars Pauly Shore.
- “Dan In Real Life.” Steve Carrell is a widower and single parent who takes a trip to Rhode Island to visit his family for Thanksgiving.
- “The Big Chill.” Stars Glenn Close, William Hurt, Kevin Kline, Jeff Goldblum, Tom Berenger, and Meg Tilly.
- “Home For The Holidays.” It’s about a single mom whose life is spiraling out of control. She decides to head home to spend Thanksgiving with her highly dysfunctional family. Starring Holly Hunter, Robert Downey, Jr, Anne Bancroft, Charles Durning, Steve Guttenberg, and Geraldine Chaplin.
