USPS And Package Delivery Services Share Final Holiday Shipping Deadlines

The U.S. Postal Service has announced its shipping deadlines for packages to arrive by Christmas Eve. The deadline for regular ground service is December 17th. Priority Mail must be sent by December 19th and the Priority Mail Express deadline is December 23rd. The USPS is urging people to get their packages and cards mailed as soon as possible. These dates exclude Hawaii and Alaska.

UPS has set its deadlines as

  • UPS 3-Day Select: Tuesday, Dec. 20
  • UPS 2nd Day Air: Wednesday, Dec. 21
  • UPS Next Day Air: Thursday, Dec. 22

FedEx deadlines:

  • FedEx Express Saver, FedEx 3Day Freight: Tuesday, Dec. 20
  • FedEx 2Day: Wednesday, Dec. 21
  • FedEx 1Day Freight, FedEx Extra Hours: Thursday, Dec. 22
  • FedEx SameDay: Friday, Dec. 23
