If there is one thing we can all agree we procrastinate about, it’s decluttering our homes. Free sharing app Olio took a poll about organizing the home and here’s what they discovered:
- Most people haven’t “purged” their home in nearly two and a half years
- 67-percent confessed they’ve got plenty of clutter but refuse to get rid in case they might need it again one day
- Books, old clothes and random cables and cords are the top most unused items
- We think about decluttering three times a week, but 18-percent don’t bother
- 19-percent have clung onto something for more than a decade without using it
This may be the New Year’s resolution you’ve been needing! You can always donate items, since most people are happier after doing so.
