Justin Moore and Priscilla Block joined forces to bring their heartache anthem to life with a steamy new music video. The two country artists previously released āYou, Me, And Whiskey,ā a nostalgic song that sees a couple longing to return to earlier, passionate days in their relationship:
āYou, me, and whiskey/ All night long/ Sinkinā to the bottom of them country songs/ Fire burninā hot, ātil the last dropās gone/ Letās turn it up/ Turn it up/ āTil we take that black label buzz too far/ And say them things that stay in the dark/ Aināt nothinā as sweet/ Aināt nothinā as strong/ As you, me, and whiskey all night long.ā
Moore and Block premiered a new music video on Friday morning (February 3), performing their duet as two actors portray a couple who seem to have lost their spark. Flashbacks show exhilarating memories of the start of the relationship, and eventually progress to a renewed fire between them.
Shortly after releasing the song, Moore admitted that he thought heād āhateā āYou, Me, And Whiskeyā ā which will appear on Mooreās upcoming album this year ā at first. He said, per his record label: āWhen I first heard the title to āYou, Me & Whiskey,ā I thought, āI hate this song, cause I like the title and I didnāt write it. And Iām only puttinā songs I wrote on this album.ā And then I heard the song and said, āWell, crap. I gotta cut that.ā And naw, itās so well written, and a really good song, and it was nothing like anything we had for the album.ā
