Blake Shelton Shares Tom Petty "I Won't Back Down" Cover

Blake Shelton, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmidt of the Eagles, and Matt Sorum of Guns N' Roses, teamed up earlier this year to record a benefit cover of Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down". The song serves as “an anthem” for the Miraculous Love Kids, Afghanistan's only music school, per the school.

The song was originally released last November to raise awareness and resources for vulnerable children in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but only in a “limited capacity” to raise funds & awareness for the Miraculous Love Kids. Now the song is now available on streaming platforms along with a new music video!

The new music video released showcases the young musicians of the school. The song aims to “promote freedom, justice, equality, and peace for oppressed people around the world,” according to Lanny Cordola, the founder of the Miraculous Love Kids.
