This weekend’s “Family Guy” episode is an event for fans of Fox’s animated Sunday night lineup as Peter, Homer, and Bob all make an appearance. It’s not the first time that “Family Guy,” “The Simpsons,” and “Bob’s Burgers” have crossed over, but every time is a big deal.
“Family Guy” Showrunner Rich Appel says the crossover is “the same sort of excitement you feel when a Chicago policeman and a Chicago fireman are in the same scene on a Chicago-themed program.” Will the shows crossover again? Appel says yes, at least if it could “bring us even the slightest bit of reflected glory.”
