Women Are Slathering Their Faces With Beef Fat In New TikTok Trend

Mooooove over, traditional night cream! The latest trend taking over TikTok has to do with beef and… your face. Leaders in the online beauty biz are now singing the praises of smearing beef tallow (beef fat) all over their faces as a way to get their skin to “glow.” Using the hashtag #BeefTallowSkinCare, one woman even said to her one million followers, “I literally slather this all over my face every night,” adding that this technique is a “game changer.”

However, some experts are calling this bovine beauty hack a no-no. Dr. Muneeb Shah tells The Post, “Tallow, because it’s high in oleic acid just like olive oil is, it’s been shown to disrupt the skin barrier and actually cause more irritation versus plant oils that are high in linoleic acid,” Shah also explained that this could lead to major pore-cloggage.
