Sunday’s tornado in Virginia Beach, Virginia was the strongest tornado to ever hit the area. The EF-3 twister left a nearly five-mile trail of devastation Sunday night in the Great Neck area with winds at 145-miles per hour. No one was hurt but at least 115 buildings were damaged. It slammed the Fort Story military base, ripping roofs off the barracks, impacting 56 soldiers and sailors. Officials expect it'll take about two weeks to clear out all the debris and more buildings are expected to be added to the damage list. Everyone is expected to report back for duty today, but some schools are closed still. No one was injured.
