An artificial Christmas tree bought in 1920 has sold at auction for over $42-hundred. Hansons Auctioneers calls the 2.5 foot tree “the humblest Christmas tree in the world.” The tree was one of the first to be mass produced and features 25 branches, 12 berries and six mini candle holders. Dorothy Grant’s family got it from Woolworth’s in London when she was eight and she had it until she passed at age 101, Grant’s daughter, who is 84, inherited it but decided to place the tree up for auction to ensure it continues to have a good home.
