Would Reba McEntire collaborate with Post Malone?

McEntire fielded a few questions from some social media users as The Voice season 25 premiered on Monday evening (February 26). One of them wanted to know, “have you been in touch with Post Malone about a possible collaboration?”

“I call him Posty! He was so sweet,” McEntire gushed in her response, tagging “Posty.”

The question comes shortly after Post Malone seemingly hinted at a collaboration with Luke Combs, posting a sneak peek on Instagram earlier this month. He also took the stage at the 57th CMA Awards, hosted at Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Post Malone joined Morgan Wallen and HARDY on stage to perform a surprise tribute to the late Joe Diffie, which included “John Deere Green” and “Pickup Man.” Post Malone is one of a few artists expected to cross genre boundaries into country, along with Lana Del Rey and Beyoncé.

McEntire also responded to questions about her stunning National Anthem performance at the Super Bowl, whether she’d perform another Las Vegas residency, her coaching strategy on The Voice, and a nearly impossible question to answer — “tater tots or chicken fingers?” — among others.

McEntire is returning to The Voice for her second season as a coach (after previously serving as Mega Mentor and Battle Advisor), alongside fellow returning coaches John Legend and Chance the Rapper. Dan + Shay joined the show as first-time coaches and the first-ever coaching duo. The Voice airs on NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, also streaming on Peacock.
