This is one of those moments that you just have to see to believe really happened. Earlier this month, Corey Harris was scheduled to appear before a court in Washtenaw County, Michigan via video conference to face a charge of driving with a suspended license. As soon as the video feed was picked up by the court, it was clear that Harris was driving his car. When addressed, Harris asked for a moment to “pull over,” as he was on his way to a doctor’s appointment. Judge J. Cedric Simpson appeared to need a moment of stunned silence as he came to the realization that Harris was driving a car…during a video court appearance…to answer for driving with a suspended license. The Judge ordered Harris’ bond revoked, and Harris was ordered to turn himself in to police.
